KOCHUBEY was born in the USSR and is heavily influenced by American and Soviet art. Looking for creative liberation she found colourful joy and visual escape from disciplined and brutal grey Moscow reality in the bright POP art from New York in the 80s. Queer Culture and Camp have been always appealing for her and have heavily influenced her art and designs as a personal escape from dogmatic and suffocating soviet past.

One of her paintings has been acquired by the Berlin Museum of Urban and Contemporary Art - “URBAN NATION”.
